Vision

Financial stability for every creative worker.

Mission

The Creative Workforce Foundation researches, tests, develops, deploys and measures new ways to build stable careers and lasting financial health for creative workers: artists, musicians, songwriters, producers and engineers, and the crew behind the work. The work is local by design, measured town by town and zip code by zip code, in each worker’s home and neighborhood.

How it reaches the market

The Foundation prototypes and tests the technology. It does not distribute or sell products. Startups and corporations built around delivering the solutions the Foundation develops take them to market, so one system can serve millions of creative workers and fit itself to each one.

What it measures

A creative worker who operates on their own runs a business and a household at once, so the Foundation measures both as one and shows the impact on one person’s long-term financial stability.

What it builds

The ground a creative career can stand on. The security an employer’s job once came with, built around a person who has no employer, and every piece of the business that does not need a human hand, taken off the worker’s desk and run by the system. The horizon is a creative workforce whose financial lives are as strong as its work.

Where

The Foundation’s research lab is in Silicon Valley. The market testing lab is in Nashville, where the first programs, wage continuation and health benefits, are planned for the first quarter of 2027.

Big Idea

Firm of one

A tesseract is a cube in four dimensions. Here, the fourth is time. We can’t see it whole; we see its shadow in three: a small cube inside a larger cube, every corner of one joined to a corner of the other. As it moves through time, the inner cube passes outward and the outer cube folds in. They trade places without ever separating.

That is the creative worker. The inner cube is the household: rent, health, family, the month ahead. The outer cube is the business: bookings, royalties, gear, taxes. For a person with an employer, those are two separate structures held up by two separate parties. For a person who operates on their own, they are one object. Every move in the business moves the household, and every pressure on the household reaches the business. It only looks like two cubes because we’re seeing it from one dimension too few. Every face is a perfect square, always. It only looks bent from where we stand.

No worker stands alone. Tesseracts fit together face to face and fill four-dimensional space with no gaps. Each one shares its faces with its neighbours. That is the ecosystem. Work and money pass from one worker to the next. The music reaches everyone who wants it. What one learns, all of them know. Each new worker joins faster than the last, because the whole already knows how to hold them.

Two cubes, one person.
Millions of people, one intelligence.
